Great atmosphere and enjoyed sitting at the high table. Oysters and prawns were the best I have ever had. Brilliant service from staff. St Vincent has a great atmosphere and fantastic wine menu. The food is excellent and the service superb.

We had a really lovely evening - great for catching up with friends. The menu is fantastic and the food was delicious! We loved everything we ordered. The staff were so helpful and pleasant, they really made our evening. Highly recommend a visit! Each dish was interesting and special.
The open wine list has expanded a lot. But can taste as many as you want! Where was the cheese? The Croque Forestier was ok as were the fries. The Tirimisu, although tasted ok lacked presentation. Second visit - absolutely outstanding. Great wine, good service, nice vibe. One of the best spots in the city for sure. The food was great and a really good concept too. Excellent quality, delicious food. Tiramisu and Macaroni Cheese were to die for, though all dishes were excellent.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Polenta with venison was excellent. The dishes individually and wines were good, but the experience as a whole didnt quite hit the mark. The plates here are basically starter size portions, which it was hard to turn into a coherent meal, but are too substantial and slow ie not pretty much immediate to come for the tapas grazing experience to work either.
Some effort has clearly gone into seeking out good and interesting regional french italian and spanish wines, but the wine list offers little "signposting" of these less familiar designations, and our waiter was not much more help "Oh I don't like x variety so I can't help.
Though early days St V formula needs tweaking still if it's to last, especially as the price point is high for Newcastle.

Great food, staff and restaurant ambiance. Good food and a great location at the Quayside - bit of a hidden gem really. As regulars of Vivo, we though we should try St Vincent. The restaurant has been completely renovated, it looks great and is really nicely finished. The menu and drinks list are extensive and all of my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the food.
What was also nice is that the table was round and enable us to have a long awaited chat and catch up. Great place and we will be back. Food not as good as last time we visited. Quite small portions and expensive for what is was. Disappointed in this occasion.
I booked Café Rouge to take my husband out for a steak on his birthday. The restaurant did not have our opentable reservation. They apologised for glitches in the online booking and we were seated after a bit of a wait.
Then we were told they ran out of steak the night before. I don't know why they hadn't got more steak in time for a Saturday evening.

It is my husband's favourite restaurant! The menu is varied and provides plenty of vegetarian options, although we do eat fish and chicken; the wine is good and at our last visit we managed dessert - Tarte Tatin and Eton Mess.
My husband had his favourite which is Poulet Breton it was served in a different way than usual and I had Poisson Frites posh and very tasty fish and chips. The service is excellent - our waitress was as friendly and helpful as ever.
